As we celebrating 20 years in journey of community services, we have collaborated with numerous organisations and made a great IMPACT in the community. 

Here are few examples -

• Cultural Celebrations: Since 2005, we have organized annual cultural celebrations such as Onam, Vishu/Easter, and Christmas, complete with traditional food catering.

• Radio Initiative: We proudly secured a dedicated slot for the Malayalee community on Plains FM Radio 96.9. Our show, "Namasthe Kerala," is the first-ever radio channel for the Malayalee community in Christchurch, covering a range of topics including local news, job opportunities, and news from India, tailored to the Malayalee and wider Indian communities. 

• Youth Sports Development: We regularly organize and support weekly sports activities, including soccer, badminton, and cricket, fostering a healthy and active lifestyle for the youth in our community. 

• Kids' Events: Our commitment to children’s growth and cultural engagement is reflected in our multisport activities, Kalolsavam, dance classes, and special events like Children’s Day. 

• Women Empowerment: We actively organize events aimed at fostering friendship and empowering women within our community, providing a platform for support and growth. 

• Community Collaboration: Our collaborative efforts with other Indian associations have contributed to the success of various community events, enhancing cultural unity. 

• Volunteering Opportunities: We offer volunteering opportunities for youth, women, and children, encouraging community participation and leadership. 

• Sports Tournaments: We have organized numerous tournaments in badminton, soccer, and cricket, promoting sportsmanship and healthy competition within the community. 

• International Student Support: We provide vital support to international students, particularly those from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab, helping them settle, offering part-time job referrals, and answering immigration queries. 

• Immigration Support: We have assisted our members by submitting character references, providing partnership support for permanent residence and work permits, and offering guidance on immigration-related inquiries. 

• Earthquake Relief: Following the 2012 earthquake, we provided accommodation support to affected families, contributed to the Addington Action Committee’s rebuild efforts, and supplied essential items to a women’s refugee center. 

• Cultural Education: We have conducted Malayalam classes for children, ensuring the preservation and promotion of our linguistic and cultural heritage.
